President Sidney A. Ribeau to Deliver 141st Opening Convocation Address
On September 26th, 2008 classes were suspended due to a very important. President Ribeau address to us Freshmens. He was very enthusiatic and informative of how he planned to improve Howard University. We were honored to have alumnus and olympic medalist David Oliver, his inspiring words influenced me to just to take advantage of all opportunities possible. The 4 hour address very long but interesting gave me a little closure that Howard University is the place to be. With President Ribeau’s pledge and commitment to our success, we all have the opportunity to become successful professionals. Let’s see what happens……

Around DC!!!!
I had so much fun @ The National Portrait Gallery. My roomate and I got on the Metro, a new transportation system for me. We got off at the most interesting stop. The Gallery-Chinatown. We got something to eat and went on our way to the National Portrait Gallery. There were many interesting exhibits including one about hip hop, that really caught my attention. This is one of many Smithsonian museums that are in Washington, DC. I think it is a good experience to take full advantage of these museums. They are all free and the enhance your knowledge of many things. I want to visit many more. Does anybody agree that with one trip on the metro for $1.35 u can explore a lot?
